Welcome to my online studio. I am a fine artist who has been fortunate to share my work through both exhibitions and private commissions. Over the years, my paintings have earned recognition in competitions and found homes with collectors who value the personal connection that art can bring. Much of my commissioned work celebrates the things people hold closest to their hearts — from beloved pets to treasured possessions — captured with care and detail on canvas. Each piece is created with the aim of preserving memories, emotions, and stories in a lasting way. Here you’ll find a gallery of completed works as well as updates on current projects in progress. I invite you to explore, follow along, and share in the journey of bringing each painting to life.

Painted Artivism
My recent work explores a personal category I describe as painted artivism— a fusion of realism and confrontation. Each piece begins with a carefully rendered, lifelike subject, grounded in detail and familiarity, before being encroached upon by elements of disruption: pollution, exploitation, decay, or human interference. This contrast is intentional. By anchoring the viewer in something real and recognisable, I create a visual tension when artivist themes begin to invade the scene. The result is not just an image, but a statement — where beauty and damage coexist, forcing the viewer to question humanity’s impact on the natural world.
‘Execution by industry’ and ‘Profit Over Pulse’ have now been entered into the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year competition, the category being Environmental artevism. I find out in June if one or both have been selected.
