As a UK artist working with oil paint, I’m deeply inspired by the beauty and complexity of wildlife. My work aims to capture not only the intricate details of animals and their habitats but also to evoke a sense of connection and urgency about the natural world. Through my art , I strive to raise awareness about conservation, highlighting the fragile balance of ecosystems and the threats many species face. By portraying wildlife in rich vivid oil textures, I hope to inspire viewers to appreciate and protect the planets incredible biodiversity. Each piece is both a celebration of nature and a call to action for its preservation.

Fragile Armour
This is for the charity ‘Explorers Against Extinction’, an international art competition where the top 100 entries are exhibited in London and auctioned to support the charity’s wildlife conservation programs. The recent success story of the white rhino hasn’t always been the case and I wanted my painting to portray the fragility of its past.the darkness surrounding the rhino is a stark reminder that if the poaching, habitat fragmentation and lack of political will continue, then I fear we are looking at another extinction. The light on the rhino is my hope for the species. Now that there are poaching deterrents, community involvement, constant monitoring and translocation breeding to name but a few, hopefully we can see an increase in population. I hope this painting can showcase what we have done to the rhino in the past and what we can do to help the species for future generations.

Wisdom
A male orangutan stands as a vision of primal majesty and quiet power. His deep, intelligent eyes gleam beneath a heavy brow, reflecting a wisdom born of the ancient forests he calls home. His massive frame-both graceful and formidable-radiates strength tempered by calm contemplation.
Each brushstroke captures the depth of his presence: an untamed monarch of the wild, both mysterious and profoundly human. In this portrait, he becomes not merely an animal, but a living emblem of nature’s dignity and enduring intrigue.

Grieving Mother
Rendered in luminous black and white, the Asian elephant stands as a symbol of memory and quiet majesty. The absence of color draws the eye to the sweep of light across textured skin, revealing both resilience and vulnerability. In its stillness, the figure radiates a timeless presence-an echo of ancient paths and the enduring spirit of the wild.

Sketch for Survival – “Gorilla”
This portrait captures a gorilla in a moment of direct confrontation with the viewer. The animal’s steady gaze embodies both power and introspection, inviting reflection on the complex intelligence and emotional depth of our closest relatives in the natural world.
Through subtle use of light and texture, it conveys a presence that is at once commanding and profoundly

The Last Roar
This painting portrays an elderly male lion marked by years of conflict and survival. His weathered features and visible scars illustrate the physical toll of dominance within a pride. Once a powerful leader, he now stands as a symbol of resilience and the natural cycle of strength, age, and succession within lion society.
